People Make The Difference

Banking is a people business. It always has been and always will be.

Banking is a people business. Despite all of the advances in technology, an ATM, a smart phone or a Google search can’t replace the people. When it comes time for advice about your finances, you want to talk to a person who knows you and can provide advice based on your specific circumstances.

Since 1924, Middleburg Bank has sought to hire the best people, give them the best training and let them provide the best client service available at any bank, regardless of size or location. We still adhere to this same philosophy and today we have over 200 proud employees ready to meet your needs and deliver the optimal client experience.

When you sit down to talk with a banker here at Middleburg Bank, you can rest assured they are experienced, knowledgeable and well-trained. Our average employee tenure is almost 8 years and more than 20% of our employees have been with the Bank for more than 10 years, so our people are well-versed in our approach to banking. Each year, our employees must take – and pass – 13 different courses on average to stay current with our products and changes in financial regulations. As a result, the advice you receive is timely, accurate and appropriate for your situation.

This month we are launching a new feature in our monthly e-newsletter. Our new “Meet A Banker” article will introduce you to a different banker each month. This series will showcase bankers from across our company – retail, commercial, operations, investments and mortgage. Our hope is that you will come to know our bankers a little better and see them as your allies in helping you achieve your financial goals.

Our inaugural profile features Jamie Pearson, who is the Assistant Manager and Business Banker in our office on Fort Evans Road in Leesburg. Jamie has been with Middleburg Bank for 15 years and recently was the recipient of the President’s Award for his many contributions to our clients and our company. Additionally, he was awarded the “Young Professional Community Leader of the Year”, by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce for his exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions in 2012 to serve the needs of the citizens and institutions of Loudoun County.

I think you will enjoy reading the interview with Jamie and getting know this exceptional young man. Click here to read the profile on Jamie.

As always, if you have a suggestion that would make your banking experience with Middleburg Bank even better, please send me an email at
