Middleburg Bank to Host Community Shred Days in Middleburg & Marshall
Community Shred Days to be held Saturday, September 22nd from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
Middleburg Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Middleburg Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: MBRG) announced today that its Middleburg and Marshall offices will be hosting free Community Shred Days on September 22, 2012 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
During these Community Shred Days, area residents can bring old files, documents and papers and have them professionally shredded at no cost while they wait. There is no limit to the amount of material that an individual can bring to the event. Both Middleburg Bank offices will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for local food banks. In Middleburg, all donations will go to Seven Loaves and in Marshall the food will be donated to St. Marks United Methodist Food Pantry.
Rich Luttrell, Senior Vice President and Community Executive for Middleburg Bank said “These Community Shred Days are a great way for area residents and businesses to safely and professionally dispose of old documents. By having their documents shredded, people eliminate one possible source of identity theft. We also encourage everyone who comes to our Shred Day to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to local food banks to benefit those in need.”
