Middleburg Bank Launches Free Checking
Middleburg Bank introduces Fox Free Checking, a new account that provides totally free checking.
Middleburg Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Middleburg Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: MBRG) announced that it has introduced Fox Free Checking, a new checking account that is totally free.
Unlike some banks, Middleburg Bank’s new Fox Free Checking does not impose minimum balance or direct deposit requirements in order to avoid a service charge. Plus, Fox Free Checking provides bank clients with valuable free services to help them manage their money, including free online banking and bill pay, free mobile and text banking, free e-Statements and free FinanceWorks – Middleburg Bank’s powerful financial management software.
“At a time when many banks have started to charge hefty fees for their checking accounts, Middleburg Bank believes area residents need a free checking account from a bank they know and trust. That’s why we have introduced Fox Free Checking.” said Gary R. Shook, President and Chief Executive Officer of Middleburg Bank. “As the area’s leading community bank, we don’t believe clients should be charged to make a deposit in their neighborhood branch or to talk to a banker. But some big banks are imposing those types of restrictions on their customers. At Middleburg Bank, we want to talk to our clients and get to know them better, so we can offer personalized financial advice based on what’s in their best interest.” added Mr. Shook.
The new Fox Free Checking account is available at all of Middleburg Bank’s Financial Service Centers, which are located in Ashburn, Leesburg, Marshall, Middleburg, Purcellville, Reston, Warrenton and Williamsburg. Additional information on Fox Free Checking can be found at www.middleburgbank.com.
