John Rust joins MFC Board of Directors
John M. Rust is elected to Board of Directors of Middleburg Financial Corporation and Middleburg Bank
MIDDLEBURG, Va. – September 24, 2009 – Middleburg Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: MBRG) announced that John M. Rust has joined its Board of Directors and the Board of its subsidiary, Middleburg Bank. Mr. Rust is Managing Director of Dominick & Dominick, LLC, a full service securities firm founded in 1870 and based in New York City.

Prior to joining Dominick & Dominick , Mr. Rust had a twenty-three year career with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York City. Mr. Rust serves on the Boards of Directors for the Piedmont Community Foundation, Oatlands Plantation, the Rust Sanctuary Advisory Board and he is a Trustee of the Rust Foundation. Following his graduation from Woodberry Forest School in Virginia, Mr. Rust received a BS degree in Finance from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
