Community Shred Day in Leesburg

Middleburg Bank will host a Community Shred Day on November 3rd at the two Leesburg offices.

MIDDLEBURG, Va. – October 22, 2012 Middleburg Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Middleburg Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: MBRG) announced today that its two Leesburg offices will be hosting a free Community Shred Day on November 3, 2012 from 9 am to 12 pm. The Shred Day will take place at 103 Catoctin Circle SE (at the intersection of Catoctin Circle and Harrison Street) and at 538 Ft. Evans Road NE (in the Ft. Evans II Shopping Center located at the intersection of Ft. Evans Road and Battlefield Parkway).

At Middleburg Bank’s Community Shred Day, area residents can bring old files, documents and papers and have them professionally shredded at no cost while they wait. There is no limit to the amount of material that an individual can bring to the event. Both Middleburg Bank offices will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items to benefit Loudoun Interfaith Relief.

Kitty Kearns, Senior Vice President and Community Executive for Middleburg Bank said “Our Community Shred Day is a great way for area residents and businesses to safely and professionally dispose of old documents. By having their documents shredded, people eliminate one possible source of identity theft. We also encourage everyone who comes to our Shred Day to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to Loudoun Interfaith Relief to benefit those in need.”
