Every business, including ours, needs to stay focused on its clients and continue to meet (or exceed) their expectations in order to be successful. At Middleburg Bank, we strive to deliver the "optimal client experience", combining the best personal service with a competitive menu of products, services and rates.

This month, I'd like to share two ways we are focused on meeting the needs of our clients and also ask for your feedback.

Helping businesses grow

Although the media continues to report that banks aren't lending, the fact is that Middleburg Bank is making loans every day to individuals, families and businesses right here in our area. Advanced banking technology

A recent study confirmed that more Americans of all ages now prefer to do their banking online than in a bank branch.

A few years ago, we realized this day was coming so Middleburg Bank set out to improve its suite of online banking services. Today, you can get the same advanced banking technology you'd find at the big banks including online banking and bill pay, mobile banking, text alerts, online money management software, e-Statements and an automatic way to save.

Client satisfaction

All of the changes in the banking industry are taking their toll on clients. A recent study by the consulting firm ath Power revealed that only 37% of Americans are satisfied with their financial institutions and, among customers of the three biggest banks in the nation, just 27% are happy.

While I believe Middleburg Bank clients are more satisfied with our bank than most Americans are with their bank, I'd like to know just how well we are doing. I encourage you to take a minute to answer the survey question about client satisfaction in the left column of this newsletter.
